Kilt Measurement instruction

Waist Measurement:

1. Identify Your Natural Waist:  Stand upright and locate your natural waist, which is typically just above your belly button and below your ribcage.   This is higher than where most trousers sit.

2. Position the Measuring Tape:  Wrap a soft measuring tape around this point. The tape should be tight;

3. Record the Measurement: Take note of the measurement in inches or centimetres.   It’s advisable to measure more than once to ensure accuracy.

Hip (Seat) Measurement:

1. Locate the Widest Part: Stand with your feet together and find the fullest part of your hips and buttocks.   This is usually around the hip bones or the widest point of your seat.

2. Wrap the Measuring Tape:  Place the measuring tape around this area, keeping it level and parallel to the floor.  Ensure the tape is snug but not compressing the flesh.

3. Record the Measurement:  Note the measurement, ensuring consistency by measuring multiple times if necessary.
